Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I think I have ruled out the transmission tower because I can sit in the car and most times go gear to gear H pattern with no blockage,enine off clutch or no clutch. So mayby it is due to gears not slowing down enough with the 600wt oil which some have said in searched post is actually off the shelf 150wt or so. I ordered a jug of the Merola gear lube that is supposedly equivalent to the thickness of the original 600 that Ford called for when new.Some have said it made all the difference,some have said it will destroy yellow metal but gotta be better than grinding gear teeth.
