You must have valve seats installed, otherwise the unleaded gas will cause burned valves.

Put a small block Chevy in that Model A. Street Rods are worth twice as much.

Drive it like you stole it!
That was OK when you could get a new engine for a few hundred dollars. |

If you only have one piece to prime, don't bother with the gun. Just mix it and pour it on!

You need to change XYX to more "modern" parts to make the car really drivable.

30 Years ago when I had my 30 Tudor, my Dad kept telling me I needed to get something more modern like a Mustang so I bought a 65 Mustang convertible pony interior that was in terrible shape. Spent many years and what felt like millions of dollars to bring it back from the dead. Drove it on a couple fun trips with my boys but it never compared to that feeling I had driving my Model A. Sold the mustang and have never missed it.

Im working on a 65 mustang. making a hot rod out of that. just to keep my hands off the A. I did a little go fast mods on my 78 k 10 and quickly realized that will get louder but wont get much faster. kept the cam and heads ditched the carb and intake back to original for better starting. A bunch of people who at a glance appear to make bad decisions have told me the A needs a treefiddy. People who sit on a mountain of good decisions say keep it OE. |

You can fix anything on a Model A with baling wire.

The motor is getting hot because the water is circulating too fast. It's not getting enough time in the radiator to cool down.
