Removing steering wheel: After the removal of the light rod, back the nut off on the steering shaft until the nut is flush with the end of the shaft. Then cradle the wheel in one arm firmly and hit the end of the shaft and nut with a BFH. If that doesn’t work, then drill and tap the hub for a puller. As a side note, while you have the light switch apart at the bottom of the steering gear, clean the contacts!!!!!!
