Default 1968 Ford's Exotic New V8's

Lot of food for thought here.

The SOHC 303 3 Valve is backwards! Looking at bellhousing back of engine.

They are resting there hands on the EXHAUSTS!

Sure the engines don't run but something a hot rodder would never do.

Anybody ever seen one of these?

Have fun!

Here is a better picture of the 289 SOHC.

Those are valve covers with a ROUND top.

I thought they were cylinders welded on there.Tubes.

Ran across Wayne valve covers in an old Hot Rod annual.

They are fake DOHC's for a 265 Chevy engine.Different.Look great!

Pretty sure OHC's camshafts are the full lift the valve sees.

V8 camshafts are under the actual valve lift so they will fit through cam

bearings.

Then they are 'brought back up' by ratio of rocker arms.

Overhead cams shafts result in less weight for valve gear. So engine can

rev higher.

Have fun!

Anybody know who made this fuel injection system?

Does not look like Algon, Scot, Enderle or Hilborn did it.

Anything is possible though.Looks foreign.Adapted to engine.

That would be a good way to go.

Adapt Jaguar or Mercedes 50's 60's fuel injection.

End up with something interesting.

This engineered equipment is great!
