Back curtain in 36 woodie
The upholstery guy made quite a big window for me. Original size was much smaller. Will have to bring the car by the shop to get the curtain buttons installed. Car is built for driving. Probably won't use the curtains anyway! I learned about manana from the second Mexican upholstery shop. It took way longer than necessary, months. I thought manana meant tomorrow. Another Mexican friend said he thought it was never! Paid the guy extra to get the job done quicker. The first upholstery shop never did get started let alone finished!

Re: Back curtain in 36 woodie
Painted the 4 curtain frames body color, didn't have a light tan. One picture of 36 curtains showed the frames held together with screws. I riveted them. Came up with an interesting idea about how to waterproof the cotton canvas. I'm going to paint it with latex wall paint the same color as the canvas. This will help with the cotton canvas being easily soiled too. This will also fix the problem of some paint over spray that got on the canvas. LeBonney Barron wanted $2400. They probably could have done a better job before they went out of business but I would have lost my $1200 deposit and no curtains at all! Curtains ended up costing me around $800. That includes about $200 for materials not including the vinyl supplied by the upholsterer. I also had to throw away my first frame design which I had built that didn't work. Then I saw a posted picture that had enough detail to design close to original frames.

Rear visibility is always a good thing. Of all people Tex, you should know that mañana does mean tomorrow, except when there is work to be done or money to be paid.
