I wondered if anyone fixed the area under the trunk lid. Is there a good donor piece to use that works well. Would like to cut it out and weld in something else that would work. I have a 36 tudor sedan back half available but not sure that would work.
thanks, ryan |

In process pic of the EMS tail pan replacement I did on my '36 (same panel as a '35). It was a perfect fit and everything lined up nicely.

Yes EMS or original Coupe donors only choice,
Sedan is different and will not work. Yours however will need plenty of body work above the EMS replacement panel as well. So your best bet is to find original, or a great body man. on second thought, that doesn’t look that bad, most of that metal will spring back to shape if properly worked. Unless there is a lot of hidden rust the metal looks to fairly good shape. I would consider straightening the factor metal.

Ryan,
I have an original if you’re interested. It covers an area higher than the EMS panel. Feel free to PM me and I can take some better photos. |

Hitch a come-a-long to the tire mount and the other end to a chain wrapped around a tree. Apply pressure and work the metal at the same time. I would think that a lot of that damage will pop out. Factory weld seams are always better that add on seams.
