Jno. W. Brown til light seal available?
Hello! I have a Jno. W. Brown kerosene tail lamp. I'm in the process of finishing the restoration of the lamp but I needed a replacement rubber seal that goes under the burner. Are these available from any secret sources??? I found a few parts on modeltford.com but not the seal.
The antique dealer did not know what the lamp went to and couldn't figure out how to fill the lamp. I got it for $15! I had to use a torch to free up the twist-off base but now I got it working fine. I just need the seal and I have to put some reflective tape on the corroded reflector and I am good to go! The lamp takes a 3/8" wick in case anybody was wondering.
