I've owned Tudors and Fordors, but never a coupe. So why not now? My wife really wants a rumble seat and thinks coupes are "cute"' so-------.
Here's my question: Do any 30/31 coupes have a roll-down rear window? I think I saw a handle under the window in one picture I looked at, but only that one. Thanks for helping!! |

Some did from the factory. One of the vendors has a kit to install one (pricey).
Paul in CT My 32 with a trunk had a crank down rear window. |

I have one in my 1930 coupe, it only rolls down half way.
It’s a nice option that allows you to talk with passengers in the rumble seat. |

There is an article from The Restorer magazine on putting one of these in. I don't know when it was originally printed, but it is included in The Coupe Book. The article is called "Roll Down Your Coupe's Back Window!" ( or "How To Talk to Your Rumble Seat Passengers" ) by Loren A. Odland of Selby, S.D.

Installing a roll down rear window kit is a fun project albeit not for the faint of heart.

Check http://www.mikes-afordable.com/PLST.html site, reprint of instructions for installing the roll down window.

Here's the document:
http://www.mikes-afordable.com/docum...structions.pdf Pretty complicated. Btw, mine rolls down to within an inch of the bottom. Original in '30 standard coupe w/rumble. |

Instructions stated to remove and "discard" many parts and items...
One thing I've learned with Model A's is you don't "discard" anything...
