Default Re: Paint problem

As a military trained airframe/powertrain repair (Helicopters 1970's) I understand what caused the problem. I also understand that after nine years, all bets are off with a guarantee on the paint job. I just wanted others to know that sloppy prep work will return to bite you in the rear.
I have a local guy that I trust to make the fender's paint whole again.

Russ, the bottom (contact to metal) side of the flakes are a flat black. There is an abrasive area near the spare tire well nearest the body but all else is smooth as a newborns ... five o'clock shadow.
