Another Windows 10 question.. OT.
Some time ago, a fine gentleman helped me with a WORD transfer problem. I have a Windows 10 question that I hope he, or any other literate person might answer.
I have a whole bunch of images that I took of my 1930 CCPU during restoration that I want to send to another party. Here's my dilemma.. It seems like the only transfer media where I can post individual images with a caption is "Photo Gallery" in WIN 10. Photo Gallery is the only one I have found that has images in chronological order. When I go there and choose an image, there is a space in the upper right hand corner that says "email." When I click it to add an email address, it tells me I have to add an email address. But no where can I found out how. Can anyone walk me though the process? Thank you! Larry Jenkins

"There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Program's Control Panel." Wish I could understand.. Simple terms? Thanks again.. Larry

How many photos do you need to send? And you want a caption for each?

Re: Another Windows 10 question.. OT.
Start by going down to the lower left of your home screen and left click on the windows flag icon. Search through the programs list and find Internet Explorer. Click on it and after it opens type You Tube in the url box at the top. Do a search on You Tube for establishing an email account in Windows 10.
Let us know if that helps. Apparently you have internet access or you couldn't have posted your problem If you have lots of photos to make available to others there is a program you can download called "Drop Box" that makes sharing files with others easy. That is another You Tube adventure for you. |

This will really show what I don't know.
As long as I have my email address , and the email address of the person I want to send the images to, why is it asking for an email address on Photo Gallery? When I click on the screen, it gives me the message above.

What email program are you using. Are you using the built in windows mail or 3rd party. If you are not using Windows mail then that would be the problem as the default mail client is windows mail.

I have my email through Outlook. Was Hotmail some time ago. Have been using my Outlook account since they converted.

You could make an index to the pictures with name and caption, kind of like a book index. That way they can find the picture by description.
Put the index file and the pictures on a jump drive or a disk and mail. One neat package. You will also know what pictures you have. |

Re: Another Windows 10 question.. OT.
You need to set your default mail program to Outlook and then the message will go away and it will use Outlook. Below is a link to an article on how to do that.
https://www.howtogeek.com/223144/how...in-windows-10/ Now if you mean Outlook as access through a web browser then you can set windows mail to link to your outlook account. |

[email protected] It is already registered on WIN 10. But when I go to "Photo Gallery", it says I have to create an account after I hit the email button on the upper right hand corner to send an image to another email address.
