I have scratches on my fender where kids have mis-stepped getting into the rumble seat. I think I will consider putting in a pad for the step. Rubber would work best but leather may look better. Do you think that the dressed side should go onto the paint with the raw side up? I believe traction would be best for the person climbing aboard.
