30 ford wagon body
Hi - I understand that Pleasantville is no longer making wagon bodies for the 30-31 wagon. Anyone else make a quality body? Or anyone have a good used one? Thanks.

Re: 30 ford wagon body
That's too bad, and I can't help, but I have a complete 1930 running chassis from someone's hot rod project, and it sure would be nice if it had a station wagon or depot hack body on it.

Re: 30 ford wagon body
The wood side of the company was for sale at one time, and someone will likely purchase it at some point. Then the hurdle is waiting to purchase the metal side of the company. Both sides have served the hobby well.

Re: 30 ford wagon body
Pleasantville is out of business but the sister company is selling the metal components. There are two fellows in Michigan that are now doing the Woodie body for the Model A as Henry built it. They have over 40 years of experience. That is where I am going to order mine for my 1930 150B Woodie later this year or next year.
Send him an email at:[email protected]. He can give you his phone number and you can talk.

Re: 30 ford wagon body
The metal side of Pleasantville is not doing any production and only is selling off what they have on hand if anything is left. We have been in touch with them and were able to get a few bits that we needed for the 30 we are working on.

Re: 30 ford wagon body
Hi Redmodelt:
Thank you for posting the info about the metal. I need all of it. I hope someone purchases both companies and start to reproduce the metal parts!

Re: 30 ford wagon body
There is a complete wood kit for a 30/31, Model A, 150B in the classified ads in the July-August Model A News. Listed for $7200.
The law of diminishing returns............. the body prices have gone up, but the resale appears to be dropping. A fun project, but certainly not a great investment. |

Hi 38woodie:
Made a mistake in one of the names: Should be Mike Nickels and Neil Brown.

Re: 30 ford wagon body
Must be glitches in their setup. I could see and fill out my contact info but no place on page to send it to them and did not see their phone number. One place indicated a sign in but could not fine a place to sigh up.

I know this for a 1930 but do they do a body for a 1929? This some good information.
