Amp Meter ??

On my '32 I placed a jumper wire across the the posts on the ammeter so only 1/2 (approx) of the current goes through the meter. Now all I have to do is double the amps in my head when reading the meter. You may be able to do this at the junction box depending on your wiring diagram. Read up on the quality of the reproduction ammeters before you make your decision.

The gauge of the wire that you use for the added wire determines how the amp meter scale is changed. High number does less, low number does more. The electrical term for the added wire is a "shunt".
