NADA pricing accuracy? 41 pickup

'dawg......Whew, those pics show a lot of scary stuff. The type of wiring "expertise" shown in the under-dash shot indicates a rat's nest of electrical problems, if not a warning to have the local fire department number on speed-dial! The "ad-on" open-drive rear end "hack-job" leaves an awful lot to be desired. You'd have to ask "WHY" he replaced the original rear in the first place. The torched rear spring ends certainly indicates the level of understanding that the builder has about "safe practices". The half-assed radius rods are trash, along with the awful geometry designed into his "installation". The front spring is almost flat, and surely worn-out, as the rest of the front axle parts likely are, too. UNDERNEATH that truck is a total waste. From 50 feet, the sheet metal appears to be pretty close to a '41 pick-up, but have you run a magnet across all of that "pretty, painted" sheet metal? You may be in for some surprises. Snazzy paint jobs can cover many sins. And that fancy seat installation.......Heaven help ya if you ever crash into something solid....that seat is POORLY mounted! I would pass on THAT truck for any kind of serious money, and especially if you don't intend to tear it apart and rebuilt EVERYTHING from scratch. Seriously, you've gotta wonder WHY the guy has that truck for sale in the first place. He was obviously way over his head as a builder. DD

That seat installation reminds me of those threads where some really crazy stuff going on.
My gosh, some guys should gently put down the wrench and walk away from the work bench - for good.
