Talking Smile

I took the Tudor out today to do some errands with my wife. Stopped by a friends house and she said her aunt 102 years old would like to see the car. She came out looked it over and got the biggest grin I have ever seen on an older person. She said they had one back then but it was a coupe. Tomorrow I will take the coupe over just to see her smile again.

That would make her day. A few years ago, I took an elderly couple out in my Tudor. He had driven A for years but she was giggling like an excited school girl.
Priceless.

Took are Sport Coupe to the store for milk. Came out ten minutes later and there was a group of older people around the car talking about "back in the day".

Being retired and a member of the older group, these folks were older than me.

We have to keep these great cars going.

Last year I took a 90 year old neighbor for a ride in the tudor. She told me she drove one just like it to Storrs Agriculture School when she was a teen. The school has now become University of Connecticut, which is pretty well known on many levels.
She told me some interesting stories about driving in that car. She still lives on the farm, and although her husband died, and the cows are now gone, she still grows a big garden and sells the produce in her front yard.

I know a lady who is in her late 70's. When she was 16 she bought a 31 coupe for $75 to drive to high school. She drove it through high school and college. She still has it today and drives it regularly. Several of us help her with routine maintenance on it.
