New Aries Muffler
Just installed a new Aries muffler and Station Wagon tail pipe extension on the woody this evening. It took about an hour to install once we got everything laid out.
Looks and sounds great! BEFORE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEfMRLQ4-94 AFTER https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6vntBUYKsw I need to re-torque everything after I run it a few more times and have a small leak to attend to between the muffler and tail pipe extension. But all in all I think it sounds great. The Aries clamp was so much better than the one that was on the car to begin with. Big thanks to Joe for a top notch product and support!

Re: New Aries Muffler
Does the tail pipe exit more or less in the middle rather than the right side

With the Station Wagon tail pipe the exhaust exits right next to the pumpkin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: New Aries Muffler
Maybe just my old ears, but I don't hear a lot of difference between the two. That said, both before and after sound more like a Model A than mine does, with an Aries muffler, too! I replaced a good SS Beaver muffler with the Aries, thinking it might make a difference. It didn't. They sound exactly the same.

Re: New Aries Muffler
I tried putting one of those on my pickup but gave up and just ran it straight back.

Re: New Aries Muffler
FWIW Piranios tests were done with aries mufflers and there was a noticeable increase of about 3-4 HP using the aries. (Piraniosmodelaparts.com)

Re: New Aries Muffler
Ha ha ! Ya got me with that one! Aries mufflers are differentiated by the materials, not by performance! Carbon steel and stainless. They reference the 4% HP increase too.
