Don't worry about the sbc; that red engine will give you an extra 5 mini car lenghts at the finish line.

Bill, I'd like to have one of those Hubleys. I haven't figured out how to use the PM feature. Can you PM an address so that I can put a check in the mail? I guess I'm going to have to learn how to PM folks. Maybeso my mentor and long time friend Bill Williamson will learn me how. Thanks, Russ.

In order to draw youth into the hobby many clubs race them on a track like pinewood derby cars. It has resulted in all the old guys ACTING like kids.

Our club, Paridise Valley Model A Ford Club, sponsors a race ever year. I have a Hubley kit I bought back in the 70's at a store, FEDCO, that went out of business quite some time back. Haven't built it yet! David Serrano |

We have Hubley Races at out club picnic every year. One of our members made an awesome track. We have a "Men's" and Woman's division. Pictured is my wife's Pink Racer. The Town Sedan is a replica of my real Town Sedan (see avatar).

Raced my beat up looking roadster at Loveland, CO last year and had a ball. There were some women out there racing with blood in their eyes. Several 100 cars raced.

Don't forget the white walls and out of curiosity what type of oil are you using to make it roll faster.

Oh my gawd . . . Oh the pot metal Humanity . . . !!! What has this child done??? Something has gone terribly wrong with the boy's brain.
This is too much trauma for we many decades old geezers to take!!! The kid actually hot rodded an all precious ancient collectible Hubley Model A Ford kit . . . This is intolerable! ![]() It's a freaken disaster horror show . . . There needs to be an investigation.

Link to the rules
http://mafca.com/hub_rules.html part of the rules: The Cars: The cars must be metal 1:20 scale models made by Hubley, Gabriel, and Scale Model. Any of the seven Model "A" body styles may be used: Sedan, Station Wagon, Coupe, Roadster, Roadster Pickup, Victoria, and Phaeton. Cars must be stock including the original tires, wheels, and axle screws. No modifications allowed. Steering may be secured or loose at makers choice. Weight of each car can be no more than 1 pound, 5 ounces (station wagon weight). A small amount of leeway will be allowed due to the differences of scales. Weights added to lighter cars must be secured, not loose in car. A dry lubricant (graphite for example) is allowed at owners choice.
