Not having one to look at, what is the mechanism which keeps the choke rod from pulling out thru the firewall?? When I use the choke it aiplwaysvpulls loose from the GAV?

check the catalogs...there is a sleeve and a spring to keep things where they need to be. Brattons has a good diagram of this and the pieces needed are inexpensive, so get it set up correctly and enjoy.

The two rods connect together with notches. You then slide over sleeve and it stays put.

too much play between the choke lever ( raised bump on the lever) and gav sleeve recess?
