Yes it is Canadian, and sought after.
Read about it in the new RG&JS Rev 4.

I would be careful not put it at risk of any damage.
It belongs on an accurate restoration.

I'd guess they are both made by Autolite.

The Hudson one says "Autolite" on it. I haven't put a multimeter on it yet to see how it compares electrically.
