It's interesting that the steering box, on such an early car, with all the early
features, doesn't have a weld seem. Maybe someone ground / filled the seem
to make it look nicer.
Hopefully the new revision will have a date on the change from the 2 piece
too the one piece steering box. I do have a call into a Senior Judging Standards

I have one on my Sports Coupe * A17188 * It has a number in 14540 on same place , and no welding.. It is the orig sterring , I can not post a picture.. I will try to send a mail to D.J Moordigian with 2 pic.
