Default Re: Transmision early!!

I modified an multidisc bell housing to accept the later transmission input shaft and throwout bearing, lightened a regular flywheel, installed V8 pressure plate with A clutch disc. Did this in order to use the early clutch and brake pedals. Most people thought I had the multidisc clutch because of the bell housing and pedals.
This modification worked fine and is still in the A with no problems.

Recently checked out clearance between pressure plate and early bell housing using the new 10" diaphram pressure plate; do to the low profile of the diaphram, in comparison to the V8, no modification would be needed on the inside of the early bell housing.
