Default Oil in 9'' rear end

Oil to use in rear end an how much 9' rear.

Lots of opinions/recommendations here. "Search" rear end gear oil.

Personally I use StaLube 140w even tho I'm in a cooler climate. Could use lower viscosity (i.e. 90w) but it may increase gasket/seal leakage if you have such. Fill to plug level.

90 weight should do the trick in a later (57 up) 9 inch rear. Fill to fill hole.
