So that's what you do after putting the motor back in the car!
I have been trying to figure that out for a few weeks! |

Re: It's been a good day👍
Still have a little way to go before hitting the road. While I have the floorboards out I'm going to try to shim the body so the doors fit better.

Re: It's been a good day👍
First I-10 adventure.
I now have about 250 miles on my counterbalanced engine project. I can get almost everything I need in my little town but today I needed a boat part in the next town. It's only an 11 mile trip but I have to run down I-10 for a couple of miles before I can get back on the feeder road. It didn't hurt that traffic was light Also got a lot of positive attention from the 18 wheelers. Hugh |

Wow! Travelling at that speed on a new motor.
On another front, I suggest you turn that ignition coil over if it is oil filled. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showth...7161&showall=1

Re: It's been a good day👍
I have a Mitchell 1.26% OD so it's only turning about 2200 RPM & it was only for 2 minutes. This engine is very happy between 1750-2200 RPM.
Is there a way to tell if my coil is oil filled or should I assume it is and turn it over? Hugh |
