It's a minor point, but I am really interested in capacitor ratings because of my "BBC" project. Do you really mean "0.022 mfd condensor"? All of the 8BA type condensers we tested were in the .23 mfd range. I don't doubt that it will run fine with a .022 mfd unit, because one of my early prototypes used a .047 mfd unit and the engine started easily and ran well. The difference in capacitance would manifest itself by burning points prematurely.
