Default Rear main bearing question

1935 -1936 21 stud LB ......Above the oil pump on the bottom forward side of the rear main bearing cap, there is a threaded hole. Any idea what it's for? Should it be plugged? Thanks Gene

It is the oil return hole. Do not plug it! Some engines have a tube that threads into it, hence the threads. Just leave it as is, you'll be fine.
