I wouldn't relieve the top of the liter bore, they are pretty short as they are and could cause wear problems. Best way is to adjust the lifter while its out of the bore. Its really not that time consuming or difficult...
Curious, what lash specs are you going with?
I asked H&H when I was shopping for lifters, they said they didn't have them. Red's were the only ones I found.

My reground cam card says .010" lash for intake and .012" exhaust.

I had called H&H last week over valves and such, they said they hadnt made any in a couple of years...Maybe they meant the valves??
I considered making my own lifters (shortly dismissed) but I would bet those 4 holes at the top of the lifter is where they "punched in" the threads to make it grip the bolt and not back out....

Sorry didn't get a notification of your post. Schneider reground my cam, the specs are on their web site. I got the 260. I did read a couple of negative comments about Schneider after the fact though. I have not yet degreed mine in.
