I know this topic has been beat to death, sorry for the question, but I need help. In converting my rumble lid to trunk,i bought the hinges and installed them, and the lid lines up great, but it will only open about half way? What am I missing? Does the lip at the top need trimmed? thanks in advance

The rumble lid and a trunk are the same except the hinges and handle location. DON'T cut anything off! There must be something wrong. Like Dudley wrote above, read Steve Plucker's excellent rumble to trunk articles. It will walk you through the conversion.
