Once I get this mini supercharger super fuel atomizer install I should gain 10 horsepower and get 33% better fuel economy.
Each side of the disc has the holes punched from the opposite side, and this will make it spin as the air flows by.

Back in the 60's JC Whitney used to sell a similar one, but it had a propeller that would spin from the air flow. JC called it a mini supercharger.

Whitney also sold some spark plugs they called "fire injectors", and I'd like to get some of them today. They didn't have a ground electrode over the center, but instead the spark would jump to the side, which was a full circle of metal with 6 fine slits, so it was like a surface gap plug with 6 wide electrodes. They said to let your car idle in first gear and notice the speedometer would still be reading zero. Then install these "fire injectors" and notice the speedometer would now be reading about 5 MPH while idling in first gear. I installed a set of 6 in my 1954 Chevy, and it worked just as advertised. I still can't explain why it speeded up the engine when the 6 original plugs were also firing fine.

They just tight and if you see I have black wire as a safety... As I said, a none black car they would likely stick out too much like a sore thumb.

Tom,

I use to read the J.C. Whitney catalogs back in the late 60's when I had my first '29 Chevy, I was in high school. I could not get over all the Model-A Ford parts that were available. Versus the meager amount they
had for antique Chevy's. At the time I said to myself, "Darn, I'm just gon'na have to get me an "A" some day!" It took about 15 years, but I got my first "A".

Have several accessories on our roadster but the one that gets the most attention is the running board rack with the wicker picnic basket.

That is a very interesting item.
I've never one one of those.
Now I'm on the lookout/hunt for one.
Let us know if it works as designed.

Just for kicks I should install it, but I don't expect it would actually do much.

I would be happy to test and evaluate that item for you Tom.

It even a small increase in power it would be a big increase in these small engines, and may be well worth the install. (or at least a trial)
I also have a aircraft sheetmetal man in the family, might be he could duplicate it.

Old Mercury outboards (and probably others) use a plug like you describe, I don't have a clue on the heat range or if any would fit, but now you have me wondering where I put my old stash of them to take a look.

We were referring to the SMELL of the rubber used to make Harbor Freight wheel chocks. http://www.harborfreight.com/solid-r...ock-69853.html

I remember the "Spit Fire Ignition Unit" bein' hawked at the county fair in the late 50's, early 60's. The barker would put one on a flathead Plymouth 6 and pull plug wires 'til it was runnin' on one. (Why, tha's jus' amazin'!) I found this one in my grandpa's stuff; I don't know that he ever used it. I stuck it on for this pic (haven't tried it)
I do use the knob every day tho...

When I was 16 I got suckered into buying that "spark intensifier" which was demonstrated the same way at an auto show, except it was a V8 he used. I looked the V8 over carefully to see what kind of trickery he used, but couldn't see any. After I installed it and found it did nothing for my good running car, I took it apart and discovered it simply made the spark jump a small gap.

They do actually work.

I did the real time tests years ago.

Yes, just a simple spark gap jumping, but it forces the coil to produce a hotter spark.

Great for old engines, but obsolete now for modern engines.

I still ran one until a few years ago.
