I picked up a 1931 engine that had sat 30 years. When I took it apart for inspection I found Rat poison pellits, Mouse droppings, Mouse nests, Mouse Bones and Skulls. Moving on to the oil pan, At least a gallon of Sludge thick as mud. The oil pump spring rusted in two . But the engine is in great shape now. It took a lot of cleaning.
