Lincoln V12 distributor / coil / condensor
I had my coil for the V12 redone to a 12 volts system. Is there a particular condensor I should be using or is the original style that came with the Ford 6 volts will work on the 12 volts system. I was told that for the condensor it doesn't matter. And if I need to have my distributor calibrated who is the best person here on the forum to do it for me.
Thanks Frenchy |

There is not a difference between 6v and 12v condensers if that is the question you are asking. Bubba would be the person to check with on the whole setup.

Re: Lincoln V12 distributor / coil / condensor
Jim at Bubbas rebuilt the distributor for my '39 LZ V-12 and Skip Haney rebuilt the coil (changed from 6 to 12 volts) and provided the correct condensers.

Re: Lincoln V12 distributor / coil / condensor
I use the vertex magneto condensors ( rated and tested at .36 mfds) for the lincolns , seems to be the best ever condensor as i have never seen a bad one.
As the lincoln is two six cylinder ignition systems in one distributor the vertex works very well..... Machine set up on the Lincoln must be done on a tester as the two sides must be synced with each other. From our web site : http://www.bubbasignition.com/condensors.html |

I am still waiting for a response from Bubba's ignition for me to mail it to them to check it.
