Looking for a '38 4 dr convert glove box door. Posted it in the Swap section under wanted, no results. Any one have other suggestions.

Is the convertible glove box door different that the other 38s? I assume all convertibles are deluxe.

The convert is a different shape, probably because of the windshield. I hear that the station wagon is the same as the convert. May be there are not that many around.

Thought that might be the case, I might have an extra 38 std glove box door, but that is not going to help. I'm sure there are lots of the std sedan ones around, convertible and station wagon may be a different matter.

The only difference from a sedan/coupe one is the taper making it narrower at the RH end.
A good body man could alter your sedan one to fit the opening - no trouble. The hinge has a taper also making it slightly different - again - not a big deal. I've had them done before. Last edited by swoopNZ; 01-22-2016 at 10:31 PM. |
