Default How much?

I've been running Water Wetter in my flathead all summer, but now it's time to get ready for winter. Does anyone know the total capaciy of a flathead? Of course, the radiator is a bit smaller than stock, but probably not a big difference in size. My concern is that when I drain the radiator, I will get virtually none of the coolant out of the block, so I won't know how to get a true 50/50 mix when I refill. Btw, I do not intend to use the "pre-mixed" type. Thanks in advance.

I think the stock 40 Ford radiator holds 22 quarts, if that's any help. After you drain the radiator refill it with enough ethylene glycol (the green stuff) to
keep the engine safe at -32F, depending on how cold it gets where you live. I wouldn't fret about what's left in the block.

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I agree with you and just for fun, I am going to buy one of those cheap ($2-3.00) testers like I remember in the 1950's.
