Default Re: Transporting a truck

I went online and did the shipping broker thing to haul my pickup from MT to VA. They quoted me a price that included their flat fee and the remainder to any nationwide drivers in their system. Two weeks passed with no apparent interest. The broker asked me what I wanted to do. I said "bump it up $200". Within two days they got a hit for a driver to haul.

I had good luck because my pickup never left the hauler's trailer from pick-up to delivery. My fear was it was going to be tag-teamed and left unsecured for a time before the next relay driver picked it up. I know, these things we think of when our babies are out of our hands.

Most may disagree, but my broker experience was pretty good. The driver couldn't count the offers he was made for my pickup while he was fueling up.
