I did some license plates for a die cast model a couple of years ago, and its the best way to duplicate them. I took a picture of the license plates on my car, and loaded the pictures into my computer. You can mess around with the size and print them out on paper until you get the size you want. When you have the size, print them on card stock so they will be firm, cut, trim and attach. Turned out great, all the details, color, etc.!
