Colin, I didn't trespass too much here, so I didn't get any serial number. But I will be back in that area in the near future and I may be able to talk to the owner then.

Sounds good-the S/N should be on a brass plate on the smokebox, flywheel side. If not there will be a boiler number stamped on the back, usually to the right of the firebox door and/or above and near the rear hand hole. Cute little engine for sure...
