Help Please!!! Radiator question
What are the dimensions of the core of the original radiator in the '54 Customline? I am trying to replace my blown out radiator with a replica of an original so it is direct fit but I don't know what size the original was, can anyone help?

Re: Help Please!!! Radiator question
I would think any radiator shop should be able to answer your question, or even a small one man auto parts store who has someone other than young kids behind the counter.. Gerry

Re: Help Please!!! Radiator question
I was talking with griffin radiators and they don't know. I was going to get them to build one but I they don't know the size or what they look like and someone told me that they have had problems with two Griffin radiators. I've been told by two other people that Griffin radiators are not that well made.

Re: Help Please!!! Radiator question
I would wonder about a radiator shop that can't find what size radiator fits that car... Try looking for a shop close to home We have one here in El Toro one man shop really great to work with.

Just measured my 54 Crestline Victoria. The core is 18 1/2 wide, about 19 high (Can't get an exact because of the bottom and top tanks. Core only.

Thanks Paul for taking the time to measure it out for me. Thanks Bob for the shop information. I may have found a shop close but if they don't work out then I will call Advantage. You guys are awesome and thanks again for the help.

Re: Help Please!!! Radiator question
Try these guys for your radiator. I needed a new one for my wife's 59 Edsel & they had it to me in 3 days. It was copper & a direct bolt in replacement.

Re: Help Please!!! Radiator question
Make sure it a 4 core heavy duty. On my 56 I had a heating problem and had a 3 core and the car heated up in a parade or city driving so I put a 6 plade fan and 4 core radiator now runs cool.
