Default 1949 F-3 Tail Gate

I'm restoring a 1949 F-3 and need a tail gate. The F-2 and 3 gates are the same size (I think) but bigger than the F-1. I don't think anyone makes them. Any suggestions?

Hi; Oddly those tailgates show up NOS and good used due to low demand. Just keep hunting. Newc

Boy I must live on a different planet. I sure don't see them for sale often, and when I do they are serious money if in good shape. But yes, keep looking, no repop's exist. Stu

I agree with Stu, I have only seen one for sale at a reasonable price and I purchased it quickly!

I just sold one that needed more work than I would liked to have done. It had a bow, some cracks, dents, etc. and I got 200.00 for it. I thought that was a lot but the buyer told me he was very happy with it. I think for a nice one you are going to spend some coin.
