Re: Best cover for the money
scicala-
Yup. Were talking "bike" as in bicycle NOT motorcycle. Their advertisement states it and I believe it. I have been using their covers for years. They are heavy and have not caused any physical or paint damage to the car. Much of their work is making boat covers which are called upon to take a beating and survive. |

Re: Best cover for the money
Glenn, I am considering the purchase of a cover as well. Prices are also, as you may already have discovered, from $20 to over $500. I bought one off eBay. Low priced & not worth 10% of that! Sent it back. Called CoverCraft (1-800-423-8677) & asked for samples of the materials they use for the different covers they make. Very pleasant & they sent 19 3" X 3" swatches PROMPTLY. It helps having the swatches in hand as covers run the gamut from what is (essentially) paper, to 7 "layer" flannel lined water proof. A description doesn't clarify things as much as being able to touch the material. As Fordestes stated, CoverCraft covers are "Made in the USA". I have balked at dropping the kind of money it costs for a quality car cover, but will pry it loose sooner or later! lol Good luck Glenn! Larry

Re: Best cover for the money
Hi Everyone! Glenn, I was reading your question on the aluminum cylinder heads, but didn't have anything helpful to contribute.
https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showth...t=glennsanders Did you make a decision on a cover?

Re: Best cover for the money
I got a California Car Cover on Craigs List. The vehicle I own is a 1939 Ford pickup. I looked for some SUV covers and settled on a Lincoln Suv cover. I bought it for $35.00 and it fits perfect even down to the pockets for the side view mirrror.

Re: Best cover for the money
I pretty much gave up on car covers. I've had the cheapies to the spendy flannel lined(vette) covers. Every one of my vehicles had dust underneath the cover when left for long periods of time. Now I just hose them off or wash(seldom) & dry. I'm also done with bras,,for vehicles not humans, that cove the front end. Should you do much driving be aware that dirt & grime get under the bra & can raised hell with the finish. I'll take the rock chips, badges of honor from being driven.
