Default New roof going on 31 Tudor

If it don't work out, it will be a very nice chicken coop.

Brings back memories someone posted using anti noise material on top of bows. I did not use not to late for you though

Good idea Big hammer. I will do that before adding the duck cloth and padding. Thanks for the reminder.

Simple black friction tape will do the trick.

My question is not intended as critical.

Will the chicken wire pull out from beneath those staples set as indicated by the arrow?

Dollar Bill, that is a good question. I will add some in better places. Thanks for the suggestion. Mike V, that would be a great idea if the wire wasn't tight. I have some material that I can slide between the ribs and wire. Thanks. I love the Barn, everyone has good ideas and are willing to share.

Does anyone insulate between the bows?

I think I remember seeing that the original top bows on my 60A sedan had a material like a very thick felt paper like that used for roofing on top of the wood and under the wire mesh but some were also stirips of scrap top material - better sound deadening?

We now have anti-squeak strips of duck cloth between the rib and wire. Also have added staples to the back rib to reinforce the wire.

Ready for some good padding! I didn't use the a/c filter media junk sent to me from a east coast supplier that is trying to be nice here. I forget their name number address.
I used 1 old army blanket to cover the wire and 2 down past the edges front back and sides.

Got the roofing in place and tacked. Today will make a couple of adjustments. Marco's instructions are very helpful. Hope to get the tacks set today. Trim in place tomorrow.
