Default Re: Early Ford V8 swapmeet at Fitchburg ,Mass

With all due respect to swap meet vendors (I have been a vendor many times myself) Can someone please explain why vendors start packing up before noon? I could never understand why someone would spend time and effort to select what they are going to sell, pack it up, drive over to the meet, put it out only to pack it all up less than 4 hrs. later. What's the rush? I always made my best and highest sales right at the end( I'm usually the last vendor to leave). I think giving folks a chance to get there would help. Especially on Sunday when folks go to Church and then have to travel a bit. No offense to any vendor as I said I've been there. We're going to Fitchburg and it's 2.5 hrs away. We are staying over night on Saturday because we don't want to be on the road by 5AM. only to be on our way home at 11:30. Sorry for the rant but it just never made sense to me to close up before lunch on a one day meet. Thanks ....see ya at Fitchburg..........EARLY !!!
