Default Re: First Oil Change in 50 years

My '31 town sedan sat for over fifty years, the owner before had rebuilt the engine, filled it with oil and maybe ran it once or twice, never leaving the garage. When I got the car in late 2014. I start dismantling the engine when I discover the fresh rebuild, dropping the pan showed still clean oil with little to no sludge, some settling of the oil occurred over those fifty years, but nothing near as bad as I have seen in other cars sitting for that long.
It just goes to show you...you never know what you going to find...in a Model A.
