Default Re: Moving seat back

I assume you are referring to the 29 business coupe - correct? I have a 28 special coupe that I made 3 1/2" more leg room. All 28/29 coupes are the same as far as the seat is concerned. First I moved the wood in front of the package tray behind the flange of the package tray. I also made deeper brackets that fasten to the seat riser. This information is in the Ford Service Bulletins page 257. Doing these 2 things moved the seatback 1 5/8" further back. I also had Snyder's make a 2" thinner seatback spring. They will do this for $25 more than a standard spring. At 6' 4", I still don't have a lot of room, but it is better than the way the coupe came originally.
