Hi folks,
I googled this to death and came up with zilch. Looking for a small quantity of Straw touch up paint for my wheels. Did not want to buy a whole quart - planning on powder coating them this winter. Just want to cover the chips and dings till then. Local guy can match the color, and mix a quart ![]() Anyone know of an outfit that can supply a normal touch up bottle? Thanks |

Behr ultra at Home depot, $2 for a 7 1/2 oz. container of sample paint. #'s are base:UL204, Color is Charismatic UL 180-20. I did all of my wheels over 2 years ago and it's holding up fine.

If the above doesn't work, go see a person that does pen striping. They can usually mix up a small amount and match most any color.

Thanks for the leads!
Never thought about Home Depot - was thinking automotive paint! Feel like an idiot - I meet a guy each week at a car show that does pin striping while you wait - never thought to ask him ![]() |

The local NAPA store can mix for touch up or rattle can. They have some hi-tech color matching equipment. We have three stores. asked which to go to and who was the best paint guy. They'll tell you. They can get pretty dang close.

Hi - reviving this old thread.
Need to pull my wheels for a tire replacement, and perfect time to powder coat. I think I was mistaken on the color (straw) and need a little help. I did try the Behr UL204 as touch up paint, but it was too yellow. My wheels were slightly more brown. Ended up mixing a little orange with the UL204 to get a perfect match. So... I am thinking my wheels were painted Tacoma Cream - which would be correct for a 31 wheel color. Would anyone agree that makes sense based on the UL204 color? Looking at modeawheelcolors.com pic of a tacoma cream wheel on my screen it does look like a dead ringer for my wheels, but I don't want to trust that image. Attached pic looks the closest to the color to me - do they look closer to tacoma cream than straw? ![]() |

The wheels in the picture look more like straw to me. Tacoma Creme is much more pale, with less yellow tone to it.

Thanks gents - want to get this right!
Did not realize the paint chips were included with the paint and finish guide - that of course would be perfect. I've got a feeling that the gentleman before me might have painted them a unique color, so did not want to surprise the wife too much with a drastically different shade. However, only powder coat color I could spot was Tacoma Cream, which I believe is the correct "yellowish" shade for a 31. |

Pull a wheel and take it in to Home Depot for their color matching machine?

Many people paint their wheels Straw but I understand although the stripe was Straw the wheels were finished Tacoma Cream. The reasoning is that Straw was too yellow for the wheels. Beautiful looking roadster by the way.
