The starter ring gear fits all years for the Model A. Be sure the beveled side faces the rear of the car.

In years of working on Jaguars, with a similar type inertia bendix, I dressed a few bad flywheel teeth, did the grease "trick" & they worked like a champ. If I had a starter gear that was sticky & wouldn't engage, I'd drill a hole in the bell housing, flush the spiral with Berryman's Chemtool, a whisp of WD-40 & it was perfect, again! Bill W.
