Keith, this isn't your corner parts store. Brake and Equipment does brakes mainly. They swage studs for all kinds of vehicles and equipment. They have furnaces to remove brake shoes and bond on new linings. When I went into the back room they had a brake shoe that must have weighed 200 or more pounds, and looked like it would fit a 7 foot diameter drum and a foot wide. I wonder if it wasn't a brake from a large ore moving truck from northern Minnesota. Those are some monster trucks. Or, it might have been a brake from a large cable drum from one of the huge shovels used to dig the ore.
