Lower side of the block is a threaded plug remove using a 1/4 " rod inserted in the side plug hole and pressed against the pump housing. or using a fine taper pipe thread (3/8-27F-PTF) screwed into the hole will hold it up. Once the pan is bolted on you remove this bolt.The pump is not designed for a set screw to hold it. Then put original screw back in to keep oil from coming out. Clear????
