does the car need to be rewired with the f-100 box or can the stock switch be used?

The kits that can be obtained from Miss Victoria or Mel Gross include all the modifications so that the original light switch/wiring is used. They are a complete bolt-in kit, no alterations to your car is necessary. And you can return it to original anytime with no scars (although I don't know why you would.)
