My first car was a 1936 three-window rumble seat coupe. I found that the driver's seat back was hinged at the top so the seat back could be raised and latched in the UP position. Then if you moved the rumble seat cushion into the rumble seat foot well, the driver's seat cushion, the rumble seat cushion and the rumble seat base formed a flat platform that could be the base for a bed mattress.
