Dissolve the rust (Evaporust) and you may be able to see some traces of the printing with a magnifying glass. This view looks like an Eaton cap. A side view would help.

I have soaked it in Evaporust. It removed all the rust but there is no trace of any markings.

Can these caps be disassembled to work out dents in the top and then re-assembled?
