Its the 260 . Only the Mark 2 at the end had the 289 (and Chrysler by that stage owned Sunbeam and could not live with a ford engine in one of their products and stopped production rapidly) The engine is by report tired I've yet to pick up the car -It may well end up with a 289 with the original 260 in the corner of the shed in case the car is ever sold -Karl

There is an active Alpine/Tiger car club here. An old retired cop I knew here in the Hutt, Brian Atkins was president for years and had a couple one at least was a Tiger it was red. Not sure if Brian is still alive though..he was considered an "authority" on these things. GB
